Celebrating Pat Biggar
Order of Niagara

Psalm 126:3 “The Lord has done great things for us, and we rejoiced.”

Bishop Susan will present the Order of Niagara to our own Pat Biggar, whose steady faith and kindness bless St John’s in countless quiet ways. The service takes place at Christ’s Church Cathedral on Sunday, November 16 at 4 pm. With limited downtown parking, we will take a bus from St. John's. The bus will depart from the St. John's parking lot at 2:45 pm on Sunday, November 16, so please arrive a little early. The suggested donation is $10 per person to cover costs, with a collection box on board.

Salvation Army Christmas Program

(Formerly "Christmas Hampers")

Matthew 25:40 “Truly I tell you, just as you did it to one of the least of these… you did it to me.”

The Salvation Army Christmas Assistance Program is again helping local families celebrate with dignity and joy. Last year over 600 families were supported. Please bring donations to St. John’s by Sunday, November 23.  They especially need teen gifts: sports gear, earbuds, art supplies, toiletries, and small gift cards (e.g. $5–$25, Walmart). Let’s share that same generous St. John’s spirit again this Christmas.

Special Collection for Foodbanks

(Formerly "Christmas Hampers")

Isaiah 58:10 “If you offer your food to the hungry, your light shall rise in the darkness.”

Many in our community face hunger each week, together, we can help. This month we’re especially collecting oral hygiene products such as toothpaste, toothbrushes, and floss for our partners at the Burlington Food Bank and Halton Compassion Society. Collection boxes are in the Bell Tower. Even the smallest gift, offered in love, helps shine Christ’s care into our neighbourhood.

Sunday, November 23 - Grand Matters

after coffee hour which follows the 10:00 am service (starts around 11:30 am)

Proverbs 13:22 “A good person leaves an inheritance to their children’s children.”

Our next Grand Matters session welcomes a local expert speaking on Estate Planning – Beyond the Will, exploring gifts, trusts, and charitable giving.  The conversation will take place after coffee following the service and arises from the themes you voted for in our August survey. This is the second in our Grand Matters series, offering practical wisdom for living faithfully and planning thoughtfully for those we love.

Grand Matters is offered alternate months on the 4th Sunday, alternating with In Conversation .

November's subject: Estate Planning.

Bible Study
Weekly on Tuesday or Thursday.

Joel 2:12. “Return to me with all your heart.”

Two ways to join in.

Our Bible studies are a chance to pause in the middle of busy weeks, open the Scriptures together, and discover how God’s Word speaks into our lives today. There’s always space for honest questions, fresh insights, and plenty of encouragement. Whether you’re a seasoned reader of the Bible or just beginning to explore, you’ll find a warm welcome, good conversation, and maybe even a laugh or two along the way. Why not give it a try?
