Bible Study
Weekly on Tuesday or Thursday.
Joel 2:12. “Return to me with all your heart.”
Two ways to join in.
Our Bible studies are a chance to pause in the middle of busy weeks, open the Scriptures together, and discover how God’s Word speaks into our lives today. There’s always space for honest questions, fresh insights, and plenty of encouragement. Whether you’re a seasoned reader of the Bible or just beginning to explore, you’ll find a warm welcome, good conversation, and maybe even a laugh or two along the way. Why not give it a try?

Collection for Foodbanks
Isaiah 58:10 “If you offer your food to the hungry, your light shall rise in the darkness.”
Many in our community face hunger each week, together, we can help. Most needed items include toilet paper, canned meats and vegetables, personal hygiene products, and kids' snacks. Collection boxes are in the Bell Tower. Even the smallest gift, offered in love, helps shine Christ’s care into our neighbourhood.
Annual Vestry Meeting
Thank you to those who wrote reports, those who attended vestry on February 8, and all who participated in this important part of St. John's governance.
St John’s Trivia Night
March 17, 7:00 p.m.
Proverbs 10:14 “The wise store up knowledge.” Dust off your trivia facts, warm up your competitive spirit, and join us for an evening of laughter, teamwork, and the occasional confidently wrong answer. St Patrick’s attire is warmly encouraged, green jumpers, shamrocks, and questionable leprechaun impressions all welcome. $5 per seat, bring a team. All proceeds supporting St John’s. No PhD required, just curiosity, good humour, and friends who don’t mind losing graciously.
Shrove Tuesday
February 17
5:00 to 7:00 p.m.
Psalm 34:8 “Taste and see that the Lord is good.”
Join us for a proper Shrove Tuesday celebration with sausages, pancakes, and generous amounts of maple syrup. Supper will be served by your Rector, our good friend Councillor Rory (who is kindly funding the sausages), and Christina Mulder, Director of the Burlington Food Bank. Come hungry, come cheerful, and come ready for good company. If you’re planning to join us, please sign up on the sheet in the bell tower or email the office.
All proceeds go to the Burlington Food Bank.
