St John’s Trivia Night

March 17, 7:00 p.m.

Proverbs 10:14 “The wise store up knowledge.”  Dust off your trivia facts, warm up your competitive spirit, and join us for an evening of laughter, teamwork, and the occasional confidently wrong answer.  St Patrick’s attire is warmly encouraged, green jumpers, shamrocks, and questionable leprechaun impressions all welcome.  $5 per seat, bring a team.  All proceeds supporting St John’s.  No PhD required, just curiosity, good humour, and friends who don’t mind losing graciously.

Annual Vestry Meeting

1 Corinthians 12:27 “Now you are the body of Christ, and each one of you is a part of it.”

St John's Annual Vestry Meeting will take placein the St John's Upper Parish Hall immediately following our service on Sunday February 8 (with a back up date of February 15), starting at approximately 11:00 am

Vestry is where we pause, reflect, ask good questions, and prayerfully look ahead together. All are warmly welcome to attend, and those on the Eligible Voters list (see Bell Tower) will be able to vote. (Coffee, tea, good will, and a shared love for St. John's guarenteed.)

If you have not yet sent in your vestry report, please email it to the office in Word format as soon as possible.

Collection for Foodbanks

Isaiah 58:10 “If you offer your food to the hungry, your light shall rise in the darkness.”

Many in our community face hunger each week, together, we can help. Most needed items include toilet paper, canned meats and vegetables, personal hygiene products, and kids' snacks. Collection boxes are in the Bell Tower. Even the smallest gift, offered in love, helps shine Christ’s care into our neighbourhood.

Bible Study
Weekly on Tuesday or Thursday.

Joel 2:12. “Return to me with all your heart.”

Two ways to join in.

Our Bible studies are a chance to pause in the middle of busy weeks, open the Scriptures together, and discover how God’s Word speaks into our lives today. There’s always space for honest questions, fresh insights, and plenty of encouragement. Whether you’re a seasoned reader of the Bible or just beginning to explore, you’ll find a warm welcome, good conversation, and maybe even a laugh or two along the way. Why not give it a try?

Christmas Mitten & Hat Tree

Matthew 25:40 “Just as you did it to one of the least of these who are members of my family, you did it to me.”

Thank you, thank you. By the end of the Christmas Season our Mitten and Hat Tree had disappeared under an abundance of your gifts. On Wednesday Linda Frape and your Rector took your gifts to the Salvation Army, collection centre, they were overwhelmed by our generosity. Well done St John's!
