Bible Study
Weekly on Tuesday or Thursday.
Luke 24:32 “Were not our hearts burning within us while he was talking to us on the road?”
Scripture is fundamental to our knowing the will and purpose of God. Our Thursday morning group (St John’s), exploring Scripture verse by verse is on alternate Thursdays at 10:00 am. Our evening group (St Jerome’s), a themed study, is on alternate Tuesdays at 7:00 p.m. If you’ve been thinking about joining, or simply waiting for the moment to begin, why not now? There is always room, and you will be very welcome.

Collection for Foodbanks
Isaiah 58:10 “If you offer your food to the hungry, your light shall rise in the darkness.”
Many in our community face hunger each week, together, we can help. Most needed items include toilet paper, canned meats and vegetables, personal hygiene products, and kids' snacks. Collection boxes are in the Bell Tower. Even the smallest gift, offered in love, helps shine Christ’s care into our neighbourhood.
In Conversation: Science & Religion
Sunday, July 26 after the service
Psalm 19:1 “The heavens are telling the glory of God.”
Join us after the service on Sunday, July 26 as we explore the sometimes surprising, occasionally argumentative, and always fascinating relationship between science and Christian faith. Must we choose between a microscope and a Bible? Is asking questions a threat to faith, or part of how faith grows? No science degree, lab coat, or clear memory of high-school chemistry is required. Bring your curiosity, your questions, and a willingness to forgive the occasional dreadful physics joke.
Trivia Night: Saints, Snacks, and Suspect Answers
July 17, 7:00 pm
1 Thessalonians 5:16 “Rejoice always.”
Make a team, bring snacks and wine, and join us on Friday, July 17, for another properly competitive evening of trivia. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.; the quiz begins at 7:00 p.m. Tickets are $10 per seat. This year’s distinguished patron is Saint Alexius: famous for living under some stairs, and therefore an ideal saint for anyone hoping to hide after a difficult question. Expect laughter, fellowship, and answers of varying theological and factual reliability. All are welcome.
Caribbean Jubilee Jam
Save the date! September 26
Ecclesiastes 3:4 “A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance.”
Save Saturday, September 26, for St John’s Caribbean Jubilee Jam: an evening of great food, music, dancing, and proper celebration. Tickets are now on sale at $50. “Feed your Body – Fill your Soul – Lift your Spirit” is the plan, with traditional Caribbean food, a steel pan band, entertainment, dancing, and sufficient good cheer to encourage even the most reserved Anglican into a cautious rhythmic sway. Bring a friend, mark the date boldly in your diary, and look out for further details. This is shaping up to be a wonderful parish party.
